是佛先倡导阿斯汤伽?!Did the Buddha Practice Ashtanga?!

阿斯汤伽,Ashtanga, 梵语之本意为八支:Yama (戒行), Niyama, (遵守),Asana (正体位),Pranayama (控息),  Pratyahara (净六根), Dharana (冥想), Samadhi (三昧)。做为一种修身养性的系统练习,它和古印度教的其它流派渊源深长,尤其是和佛提倡的八正道大同小异。
Ashtanga, meaning Eight Limbs in Sanskrit, stands for refrains, moral conduct, physical practice, breath control, withdrawal of senses, meditation, and enlightenment. As a systematic physical and spiritual practice, it is deeply rooted in the ancient Hinduism, especially Buddha’s Eight-Fold Path.

在实际练习当中,很多学生花多年精力试图掌握体位,所以大多数人认为阿斯汤伽是一种无变化无尽头的体式练习。
In practice, many students spend years trying to master the asanan, so today many see Ashtanga as change-less and endless series of physical drills.

但很显然这种看法有些一叶障目。此工作坊在体式练习之后将探讨阿斯汤伽和佛家理念的异曲同工之处,体验其对于灵性练习的规章。

Such limited views clearly failed to appreciate the beauty of the whole. This workshop, after an asana practice, will explore the similarities and differences between the Buddhist and Ashtanga systems, while experiencing the spiritual tools prescribed by Patanjali.

课程时间安排:

8:00 -10 迈索尔练习 Mysore practice

10 - 10:15 小憩 Snack break, Juice by Melissa, Dali Bar

10:15 - 11:00 阿斯汤伽瑜伽和南传佛教 Ashtanga and Theravada Buddhism

11:00 - 11:30 唱诵:瑜伽经和曼陀罗 Chanting: the Yoga Sutra and Mantras

11:30 - 12:00 引带的冥想 Guided Meditation


 

关于毕晓伟老师/About the William Bi:

威廉师从禅师阿姜查的加拿大弟子,先后在印度,泰国和斯里兰卡寺院里学经和冥想。他练习阿斯汤伽流瑜伽十多年,深深体验它既能给人带来众多益处,也有着不可忽略的局限性。

William studied with the Canadian disciples of Ajahn Chah, and has read the sutras and practiced meditation in the monasteries of India, Thailand and Sri Lanka. He has also practiced Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, and deeply felt its immense benefits as well as limitations.
